Malekith the Accursed of the Dark Elves plans to destroy Asgard by stealing the Casket of Darkness, one of the most dangerous artifacts in Odin's Vault which contains the All-Dark and spread it across Asgard. Knowing he won't be able to stop the Dark Elves alone, Thor takes the Avengers & Dr. Strange to Asgard for the first time to stop Malekith, with the Guardians of the Galaxy joining the fight as well. Reluctantly, he also enlists Loki's help, unaware his evil brother has plans of his own. Meanwhile, the Masters of Evil, joined by Killmonger, try to once again kill the Avengers.
