Synopsis

Harrowing tensions explode in a series of events that could happen anywhere, to anyone, just as they do to John Moore—whose days of freedom run out, who is stripped of his possessions, his courage, and his hopes, one by one, by the ominous presence of an insidious stranger impossible to resist.

Description of Mickey Cogswell:

John’s childhood best friend, the town drunk who never seems to do anything right with his life. When he gets a chance to improve his station and keep his wife and children content with luxury goods, he becomes an officer for Perly. He quickly realizes how dangerous the man is, and starts helping John in a resistance plan. A slouched man with sad eyes. His children are auctioned off, and his wife goes crazy. Mickey’s story ends tragically when he is accidentally killed in the final attack on Perly and his mansion. Aged 45-50.
