Kaine was the first of the Jackal's experiments in cloning that did not immediately degenerate into raw genetic waste. He was a clone of Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man. After some time, however, slow genetic deterioration became apparent.Kaine is short-tempered and foul-mouthed, but despite his every intention otherwise, like Peter, he is ultimately beholden to his responsibilities. Because of his past, he's extremely self-loathing, and often measures himself up against both Peter and Ben in terms of what a hero is supposed to be like.read more
