Synopsis

Actor/Martial Arts enthusiast Johnny Cage strives to be the next big thing in Hollywood although Hollywood doesn't seem to see anything in him and has been regarded as a "show-off" and isn't taken seriously, Johnny wants prove himself to both Hollywood and the rest of the world that he's a legitimate fighter and a megastar, Johnny may potentially get his opportunity when he gets invited to a fighting tournament that is claimed to have some of best fighters in the world participating in it and the name of the tournament is....Mortal Kombat.

Description of Shang Tsung:

Shang Tsung is on a personal undercover mission in Earthrealm to essentially spy on whoever Raiden chooses for his team of defenders, seeing Johnny Cage's cocky attitude and strive to prove himself as a fighter he sees this as an opportunity for more easy participants for the tournament and after claiming the soul of Master Boyd Shang Tsung invites Johnny to the tournament disguised as Master Boyd.
