Synopsis

Slum Houses of London, 1930s. From a child's point of view, adults are monsters; vicious, merciless and full of hatred. This is what Wanda sees in her abusive father who treats his daughter like a beaten dog, which leads to him being the only mother figure to her two younger brothers. One night, however, all three children receive a special visit; an angel in the guise of a child, takes them there with him promising them a safe haven from the sinners of this world. The angel has many names but they call him the same as their deceased brother, Pete

He, like all adults, are "sinners" in the slum house town are the manifestation of evil incarnate man; no one has ever known how to love, no one has ever witnessed the light, or a bright future, they have only seen every single minute of their lives fall away, the opposite of what Mary's mother taught them.
