Synopsis

Around a small town, there have been rumors of a blue creature running around at super speeds. That creature is none other than the supercool hedgehog known as Sonic. He fights a mad scientist named Doctor Robotnik, who wants to destroy him for getting in his way. Meanwhile, slacking teenage gamer, Nicky Horwitz, is struggling with school, his nagging parents and just life in general. He decides to run away from home, and bumps into Sonic. They don't hit it off very well. Meanwhile, Doctor Robotnik has stumbled across a floating island, inhabited by a tribe of echidna people. Using their gullible nature to their advantage, Robotnik lies to them, by saying that Sonic is a thief, and he came to warn them about him. With the echidnas on his side, Robotnik plots to steal their ultimate treasure, the Master Emerald, which is said to hold ultimate power. With a two-tailed fox named Miles Prower, and a seemingly untrustworthy Nicky, Sonic must stop Robotnik before it's too late.

Description of Nicky Horwitz:

A slacking teenager who is an excellent gamer. He tries to get out of things, but mostly fails. Having enough of the stress of pretty much everything. He bumps into Sonic along the way. He sticks with Sonic, despite Sonic not taking a liking to him. When Sonic must go stop Robotnik, Nicky comes with him, feeling like this is better than regular school stuff. Eventually, Sonic and Nicky get along, and become close friends.
