During the final confrontation with the Elite, held on one of Jupiter's moons (and recorded live to be shown to the population), the group of violent metahumans were apparently able to destroy Superman in a giant explosion. However, the scenario becomes tense for them when the Kryptonian turns out to be alive, while using his speed to catch everyone, except Black, who manages to see a small trail of blood that makes him very afraid. “It's weird to think about, but yeah, the idea of that scene was really to do a kind of horror with Superman. I loved doing that”, declared the director in an interview.
