Synopsis

Superman has become a symbol of hope in the city of Metropolis and the world. When a military officer named John Corben enlists in a military project co-opted by Lex Luthor, General Sam Lane, and young Dr John Henry Irons, he is fitted with an exoskeletal suit of armor which causes his heart to burst. Dr. Irons replaces his heart with Kryptonite, driving Corben insane and transforming him into the villain Metallo. Clark Kent must suit up as Superman to stop Metallo before he destroys Metropolis and endangers millions of innocent lives.
