Synopsis

Two high school best friends moved to Brooklyn with a love of music. John Flansburgh and John Linnell weren’t looking for fame and didn’t expect anything big. With only a drum machine, two Johns, and a phone line called “Dial-A-Song,” , they made amazing songs. Their breakthrough album Flood changed everything for them. And songs like “Birdhouse in Your Soul” and “Istanbul (Not Constantinople)” became instant, offbeat anthems. Over the years, They kept evolving without losing the core of what made them them. From Grammy-winning and nominated children’s albums to endless creative studio records, they never stopped exploring. John Flansburgh and John Linnell are both very creative smart musicians including their current band Dan Miller, Danny Weinkauf, and Marty Beller.
