His mother is considered MIA and it weighs heavily on him and his father’s minds. He tried to stay strong in the face of the bleak situation but he trusts in his friends and he has hope that they’ll make it through this war. He finds a kindred spirit in Sally Acorn and the two bond over their shared hardships. He is glad to also have Amy who’s been there for him since the beginning of their adventures. When Knuckles nearly loses his whole tribe Sonic is there to put the fight back in the echidna and forms an unlikely friendship with the warrior.
