Description of Alina Starkov (The Sun Summoner):

The Duke's housekeeper Ana Kuya calls Alina "pale and sour, like a glass of milk that's turned." As a child, Alina had been extremely frail and sickly. As a teenager, Alina is described as a sickly, skinny girl with dull brown hair, dark circles under her eyes and sallow skin. She becomes healthier and more refined once she uses her powers at the Little Palace; her sickliness was caused by a repression of her abilities. Her hair later becomes white after using merzost.
