Synopsis

Fifteen years after the Heiji Rebellion, the Heike clan has reached the height of its power, while the Genji clan remains devastated by defeat. Hidden deep within the mountains of Kurama lives Minamoto no Yoshi-tsune, the youngest surviving male heir to the Genji name. However, Yoshi-tsune harbors a deep secret known by very few. A secret which he slowly discovers after meeting a beautiful girl, who started to awakened "something" inside him.

Description of Minamoto no Yoshi-tsune (Kurou / Ushiwakamaru):

The 9th son of the old Minamoto no Yoshi-tomo. A naive person who constantly stays out of trouble, but has an immature personality. Despite the expectations of those around him, Kurou has always dreamed of a quiet, peaceful life. Having been torn away from his family at a very young age, he yearns for the love of a family. Even though he's quite immature, he has a natural talent for fighting. People are strongly attracted to his pure heart, one remove away from madness. Because of his pure heart, he is able to see Mononokes.
