A strange way to tie knots.
Lee Holloway, a young woman with a severe history of emotional problems, is discharged from a psychiatric hospital and returned to her parents' home. She takes a job as a secretary for a demanding lawyer, E. Edward Grey, and starts dating Peter, a kind but dull boy. Lee ends up entering an unusual relationship with Edward.
