Light summers are primarily light and secondarily cool. They look best in light, cool colors. Cool dusty blues are common. Too-warm and too-bright colors on light summers can overwhelm them or make them look washed out (a good effect for certain costumes, but less than ideal in other contexts). Common (but not universal!) features of light summers: cool-leaning undertones in the skin; cool-toned hair that rarely develops highlights, often with ashy tones
