Ten years after a real-life massacre abruptly ended their careers as viral “junior detectives,” Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Norville are forced to return to the decaying port town of Crystal Cove. The trigger is the public execution of the former mayor, whose crime scene perfectly mimics one of the episodes of the classic 1969 cartoon. Under the provocative direction of Emma Seligman, the series delves into an underworld of industrial corruption, opioid crisis, and the practical horror of monsters that may not just be men in masks. In Crystal Cove, the biggest mystery isn't who committed the crime, but how to survive what's left of childhood when the monster is real.
