Synopsis

Set in an alternate reality where modern-day South Korea is governed by a constitutional monarchy descended from the Joseon dynasty, Siren Phillips learns that she will turn into a mermaid when she turns 12 years old. To make matters worse, she discovers that her friend's father is part of a group of hunters trying to catch her in which they attracted attention to the military and governments of both South Korea and North Korea under the leadership of King Lee Jae-ha and Queen Kim Hang-ah, his wife who also happens to be an officer with the North Korean Special Forces and the daughter of a high ranking Korean People's Army (KPA) official.

Description of Lee Jae-shin (Princess Lee Jae-shin):

The Princess of South Korea who is also King Jae-ha and the former King Jae-kang's younger sister. A royal by day and an underground rock band singer by night. She has a somewhat naughty sense of humor, which once got her arrested by Eun Shi-kyung (not knowing her true identity) when she dressed down and made fun of her royal self. However, she is paralyzed after her brother Jae-kang's death and her kidnapping. But she later undergoes recovery in which she also believe in the existance and conservation of mermaids, thus she joins her brother and fiancee's investigation into Gary Witts and his mermaid hunting activity with a joint South-North Korean investigation task force led by them.
