Imagined as an animated epic, not live action.

Description of The Shade (Richard Swift):

Richard Swift is one of the few true immortals of the universe. Able to tap into a horrific alternate dimension of shadows, which he could manipulate and shape into whatever form he wanted similar to, which has led him to be morally ambiguous when he had been part of the Injustice Society and Injustice Unlimited, or his involvement with Keystone City's disappearance when Barry Allen began as the Flash. Though he has played the role of villain, Shade also has been an ally to heroes, aiding Jack Knight's Starman as well as protecting Opal City and being a comrade to Oliver Queen's Green Arrow.
