Imagined as an animated epic, not live action.

Description of The Ray (Ray Terrill):

The second son of Langford "Happy" Terrill, aka the Ray, Ray was born with the same powers as his father, though he wouldn't know for years, being told he'd die if he stepped into light. But eventually, even with his anger, Ray turned it into some good by becoming the Ray as well. Ray is a skilled computer expert, as well as a solid team player, serving in the Justice League, the Justice Society, the Freedom Fighters, and Young Justice, with quick speed and the ability to manipulate light in many ways.
