Synopsis

A group of nomads looking for a new home after a disaster from beyond the stars devastated their old one, a clan of survivors seeking sanctuary in the midst of a brutal war, and a team of scholars and explorers seeking answers to prevent a great oncoming tragedy. What do these three groups all have in common? They all resided in the history-laden Sleeping Ruins at different points in history! But when our team of archaeologists stumbles upon a strange site that they believe holds the answers they seek, they're suddenly flung into the distant past or future, and must now survive this strange world and retrieve their scattered ranks with help from locals of that time, all while searching for answers to their present-day problem... ‖ fancast for a hypothetical PMD game. Description of Rotom (English Dub):

One of the teammates you gain while stuck in the future. Rotom, like Porygon, was created by the Swords of War to serve their cause—in its case, Rotom was created to power their many war machines, and is dutifully loyal to the Swords. After it exhausted itself and was abandoned, however, it was taken in by the survivors and is experiencing a crisis of faith after realizing its beloved leaders abandoned it. By befriending it, the heroes shed light on the Swords' true nature and help Rotom cultivate a life outside of following others.
