Synopsis

The archetype cool girl Jennifer and her geeky nerd of a brother David one day find themselves conflicted over who will watch the tv, both with equally petty reasons. After a TV repair man comes over, they fight for the remote only to find themselves transported into a whimsical vintage world of the tv show: Pleasantville. While it all seems sunshine and roses they slowly begin to realise the issues with the childhood dream land, correcting them, unknown to the consequences that would follow.

Description of Betty Parker (Mary Sue & Bud’s Mother):

Betty Parker is a classic Mother in the 1950s. She bakes, stays home, and says nothing out of line. She is very much controlled by her husband, however with the introduction of Jennifer and David she finds herself discovering all sorts of new things. Jennifer teaches her about sex and pleasure, while David teaches her of her beauty. This leads her to realising she loves the chef at the local burger joint, and her deciding to take a risk and have herself painted nude.
