Godzilla Raids Again is a 2005 epic monster film produced and directed by Peter Jackson from a screenplay by Fran Walsh. A sequel to Godzilla (2004), a remake of the 1955 film of the same name and the second film in Peter Jackson's Godzilla Trilogy, it is the 31st film overall in the Godzilla franchise. The film features an ensemble cast, including Christian Bale, Christopher Lee, Mugihito, Hugh Jackman, John Goodman, Ben Kingsley, Peter Mensah and Liv Tyler reprising their roles from the previous film, with Jo Jae-yun, Zhang Ziyi, Huh Joon-ho and Sean Connery playing new characters. Andy Serkis reprises his role as Godzilla in motion capture acting. In the film, Steve Martin (Bale) and his team return to Japan when the country struggles to survive Godzilla's return, as well as his battle with his ancient foe Anguirus.
