Synopsis

Set in modern-day Tokyo, we follow the protagonist, Ren Amamiya, who is unjustly labeled a delinquent and is sent to Shujin Academy on probation. As he navigates his new life, Ren discovers the existence of the Metaverse—a parallel dimension born from humanity's collective unconscious—where people's distorted desires manifest as malevolent palaces ruled by sinister figures. With the help of his newfound friends, Ren forms the Phantom Thieves of Hearts—a group of vigilante Persona users determined to change the hearts of corrupt individuals and force them to confess their misdeeds.

Description of Goro Akechi (明智 吾郎):

Goro Akechi is a public celebrity, touted by his fans and the media as the second coming of the detective prince, and is investigating the mysterious Phantom Thieves of Hearts case sensationalizing Japan. During the course of the story, Akechi would condemn the Phantom Thieves' actions in an effort to influence public opinion against them. He temporarily cooperates with them for professional reasons, as well as acting as the protagonist's rival.
