Synopsis

In the 1830s, estate agent Thomas Hutter (Bill Skarsgård) to Transylvania for a fateful meeting with Count Orlok (Timothée Chalamet), a prospective client. In his absence, Hutter's new bride, Ellen (Sydney Sweeney), is left under the care of their friends, Friedrich (Adam Driver) and Anna Harding (Anya Taylor-Joy). Plagued by horrific visions and an increasing sense of dread, Ellen soon encounters an evil force that's far beyond her control.

Description of Thomas Hutter:

Thomas Hutter is the husband of Ellen Hutter, and the first to meet Count Orlok face-to-face after Ellen begins to express demon-like behaviors. Thomas views Orlok as the devil incarnate, wishing only to see his body burned on a stake. By the end of the film, he and Friedrich Harding are the only ones that survive, and witness the deaths of both Orlok and Ellen. After Friedrich throws Orlok's body out to sea, Thomas lays Ellen to rest, forever carrying the pain of her sacrifice in his heart.
