Synopsis

During WWII in Germany, a young man attempts to join the German army, but is refused because of his Japanese heritage. He had fallen in love with a girl, who is then killed in an air raid before he's able to confess his feelings. Unable to stand the grief, he volunteers for a secret Nazi experiment which turns humans into cyborgs. In exchange for offering himself as a human experimentation subject, he decided to have his memories and ability to feel emotions erased and he becomes the cyborg super soldier Proto, The Death God of Nibelungen. However, he is haunted by a sense of something missing and gradually recalls fragmentary memories of a girl who seems very important. As the truth behind her apparent death and the Nazi cyborg experiments slowly unfolds, he wanted nothing but revenge....

The main protagonist of the film. A japanese immigrant who attempt to join the German army, but was refused because of his japanese heritage. He volunteers to become a cyborg in a Nazi experiment after his lover's death. His real name is unknown, but his cyborg codename is "Proto", as he was the very first to be created and is still a prototype. He became a cold, ruthless and emotionless killing machine who strikes fear into the hearts of enemy soldiers, earning the nickname "The Grim Reaper of Nibelungen".
