Synopsis

The evil sorcerer Shang Tsung is making an attempt to open a portal between Earthrealm and the Outworld to exact his revenge against his former brothers from the Shaolin Order of Light. It has been the quest of his lifetime, and with the help from the Ninja Clan of Lin Kuei Assassins he is a step closer to achieving his goal. The Lord Protector of Earthrealm, Raiden and Earth's Champions are the only one's standing in his way.

Description of Kung Lao:

Kung Lao is a direct descendant of a long bloodline of Shaolin Warrior Monks. He stands as the best representative of the White Lotus Society and one of Raiden's most fervent devotees. Been selected by the Thunder God himself as Earthrealm's Supreme Champion, Kung Lao has been sent to the Realm of Seito to continue his training under Fujin and Hotaru's direction, awaiting for the day when he is called upon to lead the new generation of Shaolin Monks.
