After a mysterious plague has ravaged humanity, we start the film with a country man mercy killing his dog Milo. Milo was infected with this plague, this man, Vernon. Treks into the woods around his house to bury the corpse, along the way it’s unclear whether Vernon is losing his mind, or something has happened to all the animals. Because all the animals talk to Vernon in distorted voices, leading him deeper into the forest to bury Milo. read more

The Woodchuck is meant to represent Vernon’s childlike innocence, very energetic and ready for anything. Unfortunately this attitude gets the Woodchuck eaten and killed by the Boar.
