Following the events of Thunderbolts*, Robert "Bob" Reynolds, now known as the Sentry, has joined the rebranded New Avengers under the guidance of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Despite his immense power, Bob remains cautious, aware that his alter ego, the Void, lurks within, ready to resurface. The peace is shattered when Kl'rt, the Super-Skrull, emerges from deep space, having been inadvertently freed from the Van Allen radiation belts by a Canadian research team. Now suffering from terminal cancer, Kl'rt seeks to harness Earth's resources to cure himself, leading him to attack the Watchtower, the New Avengers' headquarters. Now Bob has to chase him down, completely helpless.
