Original guitarist for The Stooges (1967-1971, 2003-2009) for the band's original lineup, bassist for The Stooges in their first reunion (1972-1974). Older brother of Stooges drummer Ron Asheton. Passed away in 2009 from a heart attack at 60 years old.
