Synopsis

Hal Jordon lost his father and mother during a plane crash that they were on together. He was the only survivor. He is now a test pilot for Ferris Aircraft until he was fired for outing the CEO for corrupt black market deals. One day he discovers a ring from a dying alien and steps into the larger universe of The Green Lantern Corps

Description of Thaal Sinestro (Green Lantern):

Thal is extremely doubtful when he first meets Hal Jordon. He is hard on him and soon starts seeing a spirit in Hal. As the manhunter starts killing more and more lanterns to access a secret weapon, Thaal grows vengeful and when Hal goes against The Council of Guardians he joins him as they race to find the secret weapon first.
