Synopsis

Kirby[a] is an action-platformer video game series developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. The series centers around the adventures of the a young, pink alien hero named Kirby as he fights to save his home on the distant Planet Popstar from a variety of threats. The majority of the games in the series are side-scrolling platformers with puzzle solving and beat 'em up elements. Kirby has the ability to inhale enemies and objects into his mouth, spitting them out as a projectile or eating them. If he eats certain things he can gain the powers or properties of that object manifesting as a new weapon or power-up called a Copy Ability. The series is intended to be easy to pick up and play even for people unfamiliar with action games, while at the same time offering additional challenge and depth for more experienced players to come back to. The Kirby series includes a total of over twenty games, and has sold over 34 million units worldwide, putting it in the top 50 best selling video game franchises of all time.

Description of Bandana Waddle Dee (First appeared in Kirby’s Super Star (1996):

Bandana Waddle Dee (バンダナワドルディー Bandana Wadoru Dī) (referred to by Kirby fans as Bandana Dee) is a Waddle Dee who wears a blue bandana and is frequently seen wielding a spear. He first appeared in Kirby Super Star as the first opponent in the "Megaton Punch" minigame. In the remake Kirby Super Star Ultra, he appears in the "Revenge of the King" mode as King Dedede's right hand man. Bandana Waddle Dee also appears in Kirby Super Star Ultra's "The Arena" mode as a joke boss. Beginning with Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Bandana Waddle Dee transitioned into being an ally of Kirby and one of the game's four playable characters. He also assists Kirby in both Kirby: Triple Deluxe and Kirby: Planet Robobot by providing him with items. He is hinted to be Kirby’s best friend. In the side series, however, Bandana Waddle Dee appears as a playable character in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, in the single player mode of Kirby Battle Royale (using a Parasol instead of a spear), and as a Dream Friend in Kirby Star Allies.
