His real father had been killed by the one he was living with, which turned out to be a Vangakyo, a monster that fed on human blood, like a vampire. However, a Krimgire named Sir Vathek V saved Adrian and gave him the power to transform into a super-powered hero to fight the Vangakyo and one day become King of the Krimgires.
