Adrian Takeuchi was an ordinary young man living in Amity Park, but then one night, he found his father's dead body in the closet. His real father had been killed by the one he was living with, which turned out to be a Vangakyo, a monster that fed on human blood, like a vampire. However, a Krimgire named Sir Vathek V saved Adrian and gave him the power to transform into a super-powered hero to fight the Vangakyo and one day become King of the Krimgires.
