Synopsis

In the years before Arthur Fleck became the first Joker, a title that would be passed on to many people after him, a young Arthur must find his way in a difficult world that seeks to break him in every way, shape, and form possible. This taking place before the events of Batman: Bloodbath, Batman: The Hush of Fear, and Batman: Black, White, and Vengeance.

Description of Penny Fleck (Arthur's mother):

Apart from what few friends he has, Arthur Fleck only feels loved by his own mother, Penny Fleck, who has been the only one taking care of her son after his abusive father, Dean Fleck, was taken to Arkham Asylum and later died there. But after killing Randall, Javier, and Gary, Arthur goes to his mother at the Gotham state hospital and kills her by violently bludgeoning her across the head with a crowbar.
