After seeing the power that gamma radiation could give, Thunderbolt Ross goes against everything he stands for and secretly employs The Leader to give him gamma powers. Fueled by his rage for The Hulk, Ross turns into The Red Hulk. At the same time, Bruce Banner’s former teacher Geoffrey Crawford begins researching gamma radiation and is able to merge the mind and body to create a Hulk with strength and intelligence.
