Synopsis

This is a fantasy novel series written by British author Diana Wynne Jones, first published in 1986 by Greenwillow Books of New York. Howl's Moving Castle is the first novel in the series of books called the Howl Series. This series also includes Castle in the Air, published in 1990, and House of Many Ways, published in 2008.

Description of Princess Hilda (House of Many Ways):

Princess Hilda is a thoroughly nice woman who happens to be a princess. Unfortunately for the kingdom, she is a princess who never did choose to marry, although the opportunity had arisen more than once in her youth. However, she preferred her life in the royal palace of High Norland, helping her elderly father, King Adolphus X.
