Synopsis

Following the events of the first Scottish war of Independence from 1296 to King Edwards death in 1307. The story is told from both the English and Scottish, following Edward I and William Wallace through their strategy, politics, sieges and battles.

Description of Edward Bruce (Robert the Bruce's brother):

as a younger brother of Robert the Bruce, King of Scots. He supported his brother in the struggle for the Scottish crown, then pursued his own claims in Ireland. He was proclaimed High King of Ireland, but was eventually defeated and killed at the Battle of Faughart.
