Description of Sheriff Caleb Danford:
The stern and grizzled sheriff of Haddonfield and Rachel's father-in-law, he reacts mostly coldly towards Rachel's desperate pleas despite clearly being affected by the events of that night as much as she is, though he also tries to tell her that it's not healthy for her and that it's not helping anyone. It's revealed he had no choice but to drop the case as the higher-ups threatened his career and livelihood if he continued to look further.
