Synopsis

As the nations of the world begin to merge, world peace is threatened by the private armies of individual corporations. The Kuryu Group has just discovered a weapon that will tip world power in their favor. The Genocyber: a nightmarish combination of cybernetics and psychic potential. Many desire to control this monstrosity, but can its hatred be contained… Battle erupts, and the cyberpunk world of the future is about to explode with violence.

Description of Rat:

Believed to be an orphan on the streets of Hong Kong, this boy was an unwilling member of a criminal gang before meeting Elaine, a teenage girl with an animal-like mind and vast psychic powers. The two children played together for a time and were happy, but Elaine was being hunted by Dr. Kenneth Reed and the Kuryu Institute as part of a research program to develop psychic super-soldiers. The two escaped their pursuers briefly, fleeing on a subway train, but the cyborgs Wakayama, Amachi and Katsu forcefully stopped the train, resulting in Rat being injured and knocked unconscious.
