Barry returns to the present—but everything’s changed. S.T.A.R. Labs is run by Ray Palmer, who’s never heard of Ryan. Iris doesn’t know him, only vaguely recalls him from school. Wally isn’t her nephew. Barry runs home. His parents are alive. He tries to speed off—but he’s lost his powers. At the C.C.P.D., Eddie Thawne kicks him out. Then, Barry meets Eobard—now the head of forensics. Eobard is this world’s Flash. Barry is nothing. Desperate, Barry travels to Gotham. He finds Wayne Manor and pleads with Thomas Wayne—this timeline’s Batman. Thomas is cold, but Barry gets through. They recreate Barry’s lightning strike. The first try fails. The second reignites the Speed Force. Barry races to S.T.A.R. Labs—but the Treadmill is broken. Eobard arrives, chasing him through the city. Barry unlocks new speed, remembering his friends, his losses, his victories. They reach the moment of his mother’s murder. Barry stops himself from saving her. Time resets. He wakes in his apartment. A missed call from Iris. One from Wally. He smiles, tearfully. Elsewhere, at the end of time, Eobard Thawne stares into the void, waiting.
