Synopsis

Wracked with guilt over his involvement in the Brother Eye project and the disbanding of the Justice League, Bruce is starting to have doubts about his mission for the first time ever. Complicating matters are prison breaks at both Arkham Asylum and Blackgate Prison, which ends up leaving Bruce so exhausted that he contemplates retiring as Batman and giving the mantle to someone else. Little does he know, however, that this is exactly what his latest enemy wants him to do.

Description of "The Future of Gotham" (Mid-credits scene):

Barbara meets privately with Selina at the Clock Tower warning her that, with Bruce out of commission, conditions in Gotham would deteriorate quickly, with Selina replying that she didn't have a solution. Barbara suggests that they step up and become the protectors Gotham needed. Selina is skeptical, as that really wasn't her style, but Barbara convinces her to do it for Bruce, and that, in order to fill the void left by Batman, they needed to start thinking like hunters, or like birds of prey.
