Set in 1520 Spain, two brothers Miguel and Tulio win a map of the legendary city of gold known as El Dorado. They stow away on a ship commissioned by the infamous conquistador Hernan Cortes. They are found and ate to be executed however they escape and steal a row boat and after days in the sea they finally see land. Once on shore Miguel notices and recognizes landmarks from the map. They decide to follow the map which leads them to a totem pole. There they encounter a native woman named Chel who is being chased by other natives.
