Synopsis

As the world gears up for the grand stage of the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, legendary Capoeira master Eddy Gordo emerges from a period of self-imposed exile to represent his country, Brazil. Having retired from competitive fighting years ago, Eddy's return is sparked by a deep desire to inspire a new generation of athletes while showcasing the beauty and complexity of Capoeira on the global stage. Eddy's journey is far from smooth. Haunted by his troubled past and the weight of expectations, he faces fierce competition from younger and more technically advanced fighters, as well as internal struggles that test his resolve. Along the way, Eddy finds unexpected allies in a group of diverse athletes who each have their own dreams, hardships, and reasons for competing. Together, they navigate the challenges of training, personal sacrifice, and the global spotlight.
