She is discovered by Goku and Krillin, after they’ve been sent out by Master Roshi to find “one true hotty”, so he can train them. Launch lived at Master Roshi’s house, until the bad side falls in love with Tien, and chases after him. (After that, she disappears because Toriyama forgot about her. Figures.)
