After a freak accident at a Ferris Airlines facility, a archietect named John Stewart rushes to help but encounters a Green Lantern ring. He gets taken to Oa per protocol but a Lantern War between the Green Lantern Corps and the Sinestro Corps was taking place. Luckily, the former test pilot Hal Jordan, now a Lantern veteran rescues and mentors the young recruit John Stewart.
