Synopsis

The story follows a depressed and broken Richard Grayson struggling to deal with the death of Bruce Wayne. He grapples with the matter of his identity. Grayson ultimately is inspired to take up the mantle of Batman, after the ailing Alfred is murdered by Scarecrow. Grayson faces old and new enemies, and makes new allies, as he learns what it means to be Batman.

Description of Oracle (Barbara Gordon):

The chief of police's daughter and Grayson's fiancee, Barbara has a strong desire to do more for her city. She works as a CSI, but her strong sense of justice pushes her to do more. Barbara considers becoming a vigilante, but Grayson convinces her otherwise. She instead becomes his eyes and ears, staying behind at the Batcave to keep an eye on him during his nightly patrols. But her desire to do more isn't quite sated...
