Synopsis

9-year-old Coraline Jones as she fights to restore her family from the clutches of the evil Other Mother. Stuck in a parallel universe with only her wits and courage to help her, Coraline is forced to undergo several terrifying adventures in her quest.

Description of Miss Miriam Forcible/The Other Miss Miriam Forcible:

Miss Forcible is Miss Spink’s best friend and roommate. The two women both claim that they used to be famous, well-loved actresses who performed Shakespeare and other classic plays—now, however, they live far from the city with several aging Highland terriers. Miss Forcible is, like Miss Spink, highly superstitious—but also generous and caring, even if she and Miss Spink both call Coraline “Caroline” on occasion.
