The Broadway Film
Following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 in America, the American airspace was shut down. Because of this, 38 planes were diverted to Gander, a small town in Newfoundland, Canada as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon. Come From Away follows the residents of Gander who opened up their homes for the outsiders, or 'come from aways', and almost 7,000 passengers and crew crew members on the planes as they stayed in Gander for 5 days. There has been a documentary based on these events titled "You Are Here", but not a Broadway film yet.
