The first film of a new Batman franchise. It is about a young and inexperienced Bruce Wayne, who is just learning to become Batman and fight crime in Gotham with the help of his butler, Alfred Pennyworth. It has been less than ten years since Bruce's parents were murdered in front of him when he was a boy. His suit and gadgets are still in their infancy. It has a dark and gritty noir tone to it. The main villains are Victor Zsasz and Carmine Falcone, with David Cain as a minor antagonist. Description of Harvey Dent:

The brand-new District Attorney of Gotham, elected by the people of the city who want change and justice and believe Dent is the only man capable of achieving this. Charming and handsome but also fearless and strong-willed, Harvey only wants to bring and peave and stability to Gotham by crusading against crime and putting everyone responsible for it behind bars. Despite his hesitancy to work with Batman due to his vigilantism, Dent is convinced by Jim Gordon and forms a partnership with the two of them to protect Gotham and its citizens by any means necessary. He also works alongside Rachel Dawes, a lawyer who Dent secretly harbors romantic feelings for.
