Synopsis

Arkham Origins brings Batman into conflict with sadistic, brutal crime lord Black Mask. The most powerful man in the city and ruler of Gotham's criminal underworld, Black Mask has vast wealth and resources, has eliminated his opposition and is consolidating his power.

Description of Horace Riley:

Horace Riley was apparently friends with Ian Chase, but the friendship turned to enmity on the latter's end when Riley ended up becoming the fiancée of a socialite and activist, Clarissa Rodriguez. Riley was apparently friends with Bruce Wayne as well. Some time later, Riley, alongside Rodriguez, ended up murdered by Chase near Crime Alley, coincidentally at the same spot where Bruce's Parents were murdered. Batman, the alias of Bruce Wayne, uncovered the murder from a police report, and, he after uncovered Chase's role in the murder, had him apprehended after he nearly avoided choking him to death in anger for their deaths.
