Synopsis

Batman: Arkham Asylum is set wholly on the grounds of the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane, better known as Arkham Asylum. The asylum is located on a remote island in the Gotham Bay, a strategic necessity given its reputation for housing violent, incurable psychotics.

Description of Dr. Ian Kennedy:

Kennedy is first seen checking out the Joker inside the Intensive Treatment Center co-oridor who scares him into letting them get Joker away from him. His reasons for being so scared of him is because Joker killed a guard in front of him when he last escaped. He was later taken hostage by Joker's men and then rescued by Batman. Afterwards, Kennedy, Sarah Cassidy, and Dr. Kellerman hid themselves in the room where Officer Cash was trapped in, barricaded the door and stayed there throughout the rest of the Joker's takeover.
